'Women on the Terrace' Leads Exceptional Modern Art Auction


Sotheby’s Hong Kong will present over 230 lots of Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art during their incredible Autumn 2019 Sales Series.

The Evening Sale on 5 October will showcase a significant catalogue of works by Adrien-Jean Le Mayeur de Merprès from a famed European private collection, including Women on the Terrace, which was created in a highly coveted period of the artist. Other highlights include museum quality works with distinguished provenance by Indonesian artist Affandi, as well as some of the finest pieces by established Vietnamese artists including Tô Ngọc Vân, Pham Hầu and Nguyen Gia Tri.
