This is the Most Expensive Mansion in the Hamptons

Four years ago, activist-investor Barry Rosenstein broke the record by forking out $147 million on an 18-acre waterfront property in East Hampton. This was easily the most money spent on a home in the USA, ever! But, records were made to be broken, and at $175 million, the Jule Pond has taken the crown and is now the most expensive home in East Hampton.

The luxurious abode is situated on the much-desired side of Hamptons, on the east coast, surrounded by stunning lakes and the Atlantic Ocean. This huge, 20,000-square-foot property boasts some of the most beautiful views of the surrounds.

Called Jule Pond, the property has a very respectable history — it once belonged to Henry Ford’s 235-acre “Fordune” haven. The vacation retreat features 12 bedrooms, a vast 48-foot-long living room, a family room, a game room, recreation rooms, and two elegant master suites.

The garden area has a pool and an exclusive entertainment deck with a hot tub, a full kitchen, as well as a basketball court. Bespoke Real Estate’s Michael Cantwell adds that the mansion also features the biggest piece of private ocean frontage in the Hamptons.
