Tambour Moon Tourbillon: A Flawless Masterwork

Taking design cues from the original Tambour, the latest timepiece – The Tambour Moon Tourbillon – features an in-house manual-wind calibre LV 97 movement, 106 brilliant-cut diamonds, a crown in rose-cut diamond, with a total of around 7.6 carats.

The case and plate are completely covered with diamonds, and each respective component is embellished by hand for a faultless look.

Over 120 hours of scrupulous work was spent cutting the stones. This resulted in the incredible amount of 296 diamonds embellishing the watch. After this exacting process has taken place, each timepiece undergoes numerous assessments for general quality and consistency. Once completed and approved, the timepiece is given a seal of excellence.

The Tambour Moon Tourbillon’s case is fortified by a Platinum PT950 ardillon buckle pavé-set, with baguette-cut diamonds on top, and strapped with black alligator leather. The bridge and the back of the case bear the Poinçon de Genève certification, which is a first for Louis Vuitton’s gem-set movement.

Put together by the most brilliant of craftsmen in the Canton of Geneva, at La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton, The Tambour Moon Tourbillon timepiece is excellence personified – a timepiece with an engraving and gem-set movement that embodies the proficiency of The House.
